Distribution:  UK & Europe.

General Description: Varies in colour from a light tan to a biscuit colour.  Usually the timber can have straight grain but irregular or cross-grained material can occur depending on growth conditions.  Characteristic silver grain on quarter-cut timber.  English Oak is generally heavier in weight at around 720 kg/m3 whereas the French and German come in at around 670 kg/m3.
